Charitable Giving Requests

Nebraska Medicine is proud to support the mission of other non-profit organizations working to reduce health disparities, expand access to care in underserved communities, address major health challenges in our region, and promote the health and well-being of the patients we serve.

Funding priority is given to organizations aligned with current community health improvement initiatives. These include: 

  • Cancer  

  • Mental Health 

  • Nutrition, Physical Activity and Weight 

  • Prenatal Health and Infant Mortality 

Additional consideration is given to organizations that directly support our patient population or serve underserved communities. 

Guidelines: 

  • All requests must come from IRS designated 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations. 

  • All sponsorship requests must be submitted through our online portal. We do not accept applications via mail or email.  

  • Funding is not provided for debt forgiveness, scholarships, loans, fellowship assistance, or individual fundraising efforts.

  • Nebraska Medicine does not fund religious or faith-based programming directly.

  • Fraternal organizations, beauty pageants, social clubs, schools and sports teams/clubs are not eligible for sponsorship.

  • Third-party events or golf tournaments are not eligible for funding. 

  • Internal Nebraska Medicine or UNMC departments are not eligible to apply. 

  • Organizations with divisive or litigious public agendas, political affiliations, or that discriminate based on age, disability, religion, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation are not eligible for sponsorship. 

  • Organizations must be located within our current service areas: Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, Pottawattamie, Lancaster, Buffalo and Hall counties.

Before submitting, please review your submission carefully. Edits cannot be made after submission.

Each request is reviewed individually and considered based on available funding. Proposals must be submitted at least 60-days in advance of the event or activity.  

Submit a new application
